Well, I've been back at work for 2 weeks now. It's been over a month since I last blogged and I had forgotten how to login! But, I did remember my LAN login on the first Monday back at work. Pretty good for 4 months away.
I've been playing with 23 things again - added RSS feeds. Quilting and library blogs, of course!
I already am subscribed to a number of library e-lists through work and these come to my email. I find that it's vital to know what is happening in the library world, especially at my level within the organisation.
Going to see overseas libraries was truly worthwhile. European libraries particularly are innovative and they do have much bigger budgets and libraries. But Australian libraries are also extremely innovative. In fact, librarians from other countries are often astounded at what we do in much smaller buildings. I've uploaded a photo of the new Amsterdam public library - the equivalent of our Brisbane Square Library in function.
